Wildfire Map

It has recently been brought to our attention by a neighbor that there is a map being created designating wildfire risk in our area. The attached flyer has a QR code enabling you to check your address.

In a response to an email, Senator Dennis Linthicum, State Senate District 28 shared that "insurance companies are prohibited from using the fire map to deny insurance or to increase rates. Of course, insurance companies are going to utilize some sort of metric to determine the cost, risk and assessment for the properties they insure, but they are not allowed to use the fire map".

Please take time to check your address and send your input not later than August 18 to hazardmap@odf.oregon.gov
