DRRH6 has been awarded the 2025 Sweat Equity Bin Rental Program!
This program is designed to help communities remove fire fuels and improve defensible spaces around homes and structures by covering the cost of multiple 30-cubic yard green waste bins.
When: The bins will be available in the months of May and June for the community to place
flammable yard waste into including pine needles, pinecones, dead trees, tree limbs and brush
Where: The bins will be placed around the DRRH6 neighborhood (we will need help with locations – sign-up here). Community members can haul their yard waste to the bins closest to their properties.
What: As a community, we will work together to ensure our homes have created a 100-foot
defensible space (minimum) around structures. We will have sign-up sheets for work parties,
requests for equipment and special skills.
Why: REDUCE WILDFIRE RISK, build community, meet neighbors, help keep our community safe
The details:
We will have community work parties (sign-up link here)
May 3– 9am to 1pm
May 10 9am to 1pm
May 24 9am to 1pm
June 7 9am to 1pm
June 21 9am to 1pm
Any community member is welcome to add flammable yard debris to the bins when convenient until they are full.
