Bios of Candidates running for DRRH6 POA Board
Kris Demerest: Kris recently relocated to DRRH6 as a full-time resident just in time to experience winter and to volunteer to fill a vacant spot on the board. The board experience has allowed her the opportunity to meet neighbors and property owners whose passion for the neighborhood have allowed the board to begin many exciting projects Kris would like to see to fruition. She has a background in Human Resources and Real Estate and shares her home with her husband & dog. You'll see all of them on the trail or the river year round, usually with binoculars in hand enjoying the myriad of neighborhood wildlife.

Jim Hamilton:
Native Oregonian, father of three, moving from the valley to what I consider a paradise.
I enjoy the great outdoors-- running, hiking and exploring.
I am presently building a home at 16325 Mule Deer with the hope to be completed in the next 6-9 months. This will be my permanent residence.
Already, I've discovered this is a special place and I am grateful for being here.
I am interested in meeting more of my neighbors, creating new friendships and becoming involved in making this a welcoming and respectful community for everyone. I understand that there are all kinds of reasons why people are here-- let's enjoy it together!

Jen Lawrence:
My husband, Jess and I have been fully enjoying this wonderful community for ten years. I’m a “semi-retired” Social Worker and provided veterans and their families in home mental health care and caregiver support for the last ten years of my career.
I am interested in running again for the POA Board to continue to work on the priorities that were started a year ago. Those include(d): creation and implementation of a new website that would be a central hub for the community to access up-to-date information. This is mostly complete and has been live for several months, so check it out if you haven't had a chance to yet. We’ve also worked on implementing written policies that would be clear, fair and equitable for all owners, and finally, I’m interested in continuing the work that has been done by a committee of dedicated owners to amend the 1965 Building Use and Restrictions (CC&Rs) governing documents, to bring them into the 21st century.
It's been a privilege to work with and on behalf of this community, and I would be honored to continue on the board.

Ian McCormick: Ian was born and raised in the Oregon outdoors. His love of Central Oregon grew from many years as a river guide on the Deschutes River. Together with his wife Cassie, they are raising their 3 young children outside as much as possible and look forward to deepening their roots in Central Oregon.

Dennis King:
I was born and raised in Oregon, growing up in Corvallis. I did both undergraduate and graduate studies at Western Oregon University in Monmouth prior to moving to Florence, Oregon where I taught 3rd and 4th grades until retiring.
I’m married and have two grown children.
We have a home at 16405 Mule Deer Lane and truly believe that between Florence and here we have the perfect balance.
