Informational Meetings Building Use and Restrictions Proposed Changes

You are invited to join in on the conversation that began a year ago to make proposed changes to the 1965 Building Use and Restrictions (BURS) document that informs our community of the way in which we are allowed to utilize our properties.
The original BURS, created in 1965, contain outdated as well as some ambiguious language that has, on occasion, created confusion and misinterpretations of what the original intent of these guidelines were meant to be.
A year ago, a committee of owners set out to simplify and clarify the BURS, so that all owners would have a clear understanding of how we can all enjoy the properties we own while still complying with the basic standards set forth by the BURS. The committee placed the proposal with these clarifications up for a vote of the ownership in November, 2024, and returns were just shy of the 75% of the ownership needed to pass.
This fiscal year, the committee would like to try again. Two informational meetings will be held and all interested owners who have questions and suggestions are encouraged to attend. Both meetings will be available in person, or via Google Meet.
Meeting #1 - Wednesday, February 18, 2026 – 6:00 PM

A separate email was sent to the DRRH6 email list with a clean copy of the original Building Use and Restrictions document and the proposed document from last year. If you are not on the email list and you would like a copy of these documents, please email Jen at drrh6poasec@drrh6.com and copies will be provided. Additionally, the Google Meet link will be provided at that time, as well as posted on the website a few days prior to each meeting.
