Available vacancies on our DRRH6 Special Road District Board:
The following positions will start January 1, 2026
Board Secretary: This volunteer position is responsible for taking minutes at Road Board meetings (4 times per year), responding to occasional community emails, and posting announcements for the community.
Treasurer: The Treasurer is responsible for maintaining the Road Board budget in collaboration with the President. The Treasurer will be responsible for the payment of invoices to contractors and working with Deschutes County on behalf of DRRH6, to coordinate county tax dollars that are used for yearly road maintenance in our community.
If you're interested in helping support your DRRH6 community by fulfilling either of these important roles, candidates should contact the Road Board at: drrh6roadboard@gmail.com
We would like to get these positions filled by December so we can submit the names to the County Commissioners for approval and certification.
About the DRRH6 Special Road District Board: The DRRH 6 Special Road Board is made up of three volunteers: the President, Secretary and Treasurer. Each of these positions plays a critical part in the overall operation and coordination of the maintenance of the seven miles of roads in our small community.
The DRRH 6 Special Road Board plays a crucial role in ensuring that our roads are maintained properly by contracting with professionals in our surrounding communities to provide grading, graveling and snow plowing services. Well-maintained roads are essential not just for efficient travel but also for emergency services, and overall community well-being.
